Taupo Volcano is up against the famous USA giant Mt St Helens in the Volcano Cup round and needs lots of support not to be eliminated!

If you have enjoyed following the volcano-geekery on Twitter this last three weeks, you’ll know that Taupo Volcano has made the Quarter Final. This round we are up against a big player Mt St Helens from the USA, who scored a few more points than Taupo in getting the Quarter Final. So we need to crowd source a lot of votes to beat off the USA challenge. Just to remind you how it works: To vote, find @janinekrippner, a Kiwi volcanologist in the States who is running the #VolcanoCup on Twitter, and there you will find a poll where you can cast your vote for Taupo. There has been some confusion with the tournament running under the #VolcanoCup hashtag, but voting being via a personal account. Please re-tweet any tweets you see for Taupo Volcano or Taupo Caldera.
